Introduction
Global Delivery Direct,GDD, is a global package delivery organization that was created by four friends in the year of 1968. After many years of growth opportunity, competitive advantages, and small business struggles, GDD was able to merge into the global market and expand nationally. Each of the organization's ‘founding fathers’ were appointed as the executive director of various branches and/or services however, decisions are still made as a unit. Currently, the owners have assessed their infrastructure and have evaluated the need to maintain a competitive advantage over other distributors such as UPS and FedEx in the North American market. As a result, GDD has opted to offer a boutique service to its customers in the form of mobile packing and delivery stores. The North American executive directive, Andrew Rockfish, has isolated a company who has agreed to sell their business.
